COVID-19 vaccine rollout FAQs for General Practices in South Western Sydney

Answers to the three most common questions SWSPHN has been receiving from general practices about the COVID-19 vaccination rollout.

How does my practice participate in the COVID-19 vaccine program?

To register your interest in participating in the COVID-19 vaccine program to administer AstraZeneca, please complete Interest To Participate form .

General practices need to have been already administering AstraZeneca before they can be approved to administer Pfizer.

If the Department of Health has approved your practice for AstraZeneca administration, you can register your interest to administer the Pfizer vaccine by completing the EOI for Pfizer Vaccination form.

When is my general practice going to be a part of the Pfizer vaccine rollout?

The Department of Health anticipates all participating practices will be transitioned to Pfizer by October (based on vaccine supply) and will continue to bring on board as many practices as fast as they can within the available allocations.

SWSPHN has no authority to decide which practices administer COVID-19 vaccinations and how many doses are administered. The Department of Health makes all final decisions.

We appreciate your patience. Please monitor your emails as the Department of Health will email you regarding updates.

Who is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine?
