Chronicle column – February – Get Healthy at Work

13th February 2020

Committing to getting fitter and healthier is a common resolution for this time of year.

At SWSPHN we’re working on improving our health together.

We’ve joined NSW Health’s free Get Healthy at Work initiative which supports healthier and more productive workplaces – and ultimately, heathier individuals.

Our healthy workplace journey began with the launch of SWSPHN’s Workplace Health and Wellbeing Strategy, which promotes and protects the physical and mental wellbeing of staff.

Since the middle of last year, our staff have been getting healthy with gym workout sessions, walking groups and by using the stairs more often.

We’ve also found Get Healthy at Work’s online Healthy Lifestyle Checks easy to use, and a valuable tool in assessing our own health status and providing advice on making changes for better health.

You can find out more about Get Healthy at Work by visiting their website or watching their new promotional video, featuring SWSPHN staff, on YouTube.
