Come along and help create a more compassionate community
18th July 2019
Are you interested in learning how to support and care for family and friends experiencing loss, grief and dying?
Do you want to join like-minded local people to create a more compassionate community?
We’re bringing together people who have experienced loss, dying and grieving through two workshops to build community partnerships, and ultimately, compassionate communities.
The workshops aim to engage and educate participants in ways to promote the emotional, social, physical, spiritual and cultural wellbeing of people who are frail, experiencing loss, are ageing, dying or grieving.
We want to identify practical approaches to establishing and maintaining networks to support those who are dying and or experiencing grief.
- Dr John Rosenberg - Teacher, researcher and advocate for public health palliative care
- Wendy Gain - Project Facilitator, PACCS (Palliative Aged Care Consultancy Service)
The workshops will be held at:
- Camden Civic Centre’s Community Room, Oxley Street, Camden on Saturday, 3 August, from 9am to 4pm.
- Campbelltown Golf Club’s Lakeview Room, 1 Golf Course Drive, Glen Alpine on Saturday, 14 September, 9am to 4pm.
***PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, THIS EVENT WILL NOW TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY 14 SEPTEMBER*** Please contact Vitor Rocha at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
