SWSPHN Webinar - Wound Care in General Practice: Series 1
Aim:
To improve your knowledge and skills in wound care. The topics for discussion will include: a review of chronic wound assessment and wound bed preparation; why chronic wounds are slow to heal; an overview of chronic wound treatment based on TIME; and simplifying product selection based on patient and wound characteristics.
Series 1 (Tuesday, 16 February 2021):
• Increasing knowledge and skills for managing patients with acute and chronic wounds.
• Provide clarity on patient assessment and identification of patients.
• How to select the right dressing to optimise patient experience and outcomes.
Series 2 (Tuesday, 2 March 2021):
A recap of the types of leg ulcers; understanding the importance of patient assessment in developing a wound plan; a review of treatment options for diabetic foot ulcers, arterial, venous ulcers; and compression therapy and how it works in venous leg ulcers.
