The Practice Support Team aims to build the capacity of primary care services and encourage ongoing improvements by delivering a wide range of support to GPs, practice staff and practice nurses. Support is tailored to meet the needs of individual practices.

The Practice Support Officers (PSOs) keep practices up-to-date on current Commonwealth and State Government initiatives. As well as providing information on local developments and programs, PSOs provide valuable resources to enhance patient care and practice outcomes.

The PSOs conduct regular practice visits and provide ad hoc support via phone, email, fax and in person. In addition, the Practice Support team aims to keep practices up-to-date with the latest developments in primary healthcare. To view the Practice Support Program brochure, please click here.
